Alexander Kyllmann

Managing Director, ModuTram Mexico

Alexander Kyllmann is an electrical engineer with a B.S. degree from Rice University (USA), M.S. degree from Stanford University (USA) and Executive M.B.A.from IPADE (Mexico). He has over 20 years of professional experience in the automotive electronics industry, including software development for airbag control units, project management, quality system planning and implementation, and management of a just-in-time cockpit assembly plant. He led the creation of an R&D Center for Siemens VDO Automotive (now Continental Automotive) in Guadalajara, Mexico, which today employs over 400 mechanical, electronic, and software engineers. He has co-authored various patents and has successfully directed various R&D projects supported by the Mexican Science and Technology Council (CONACYT). In the course of his studies and professional assignments, Alexander has lived in Bolivia, USA, Germany, Brazil, and Mexico. He is currently Managing Director of ModuTram Mexico, a company he started in 2009 to help improve urban mobility through the development of innovative, lean, sustainable transport solutions.
