Alain Kornhauser

Alain Kornhauser is an original founding member of ATRA and involved in PRT since 1971. One of the organizers and contributors to the first three original PRT conferences in the early 1970s  and co-editor of the three conference proceedings.  Involved in the design of several proposed systems in Las Vegas, Minneapolis, Trenton, and New Jersey state-wide systems comprising of 10,000 stations interconnected by 10,000 miles of guideways and serving over 90% of New Jersey's daily trip demand. 

Currently research focus is on machine vision based autonomous vehicle control, real-time dynamic route guidance in congested networks and the development of interactive PRT network design and analysis tools.
